Trashion Fashion Show: Glam Trash
Trashion -- fashion made of trash -- is quirky, sometimes goofy and always entertaining. Taos, New Mexico, a town known for its support of community and the arts, holds an annual community celebration called 'Glam Trash Fashion Show', a trashion show with fashion from up-cycled materials. Our friend, Sara Basehart, a Taos resident and trash fashion designer, sent us this adorable video.
Sara's up-cycled gift shop, Seconds Eco Store is a longtime retailer of Escama purses and she is our un-official Escama repair shop. If your bag has a jammed zipper or is unraveling a thread, chances are Sara is able to refurbish it and bring it back to life. (Sara's trashion creation is in the video, "I'm the one with the horns and the swagger"). You can read more about Sara in this interview.
